Three Million-Year Old Island

April 24, 2017

Tenerife, Spain

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, across the sea to the east is Morocco, in West Africa. Teide volcano is the third-largest volcano in the world from its base is found here.

The island as it is today was formed three million years ago and is surprisingly quite populated by full-time residence.

The Stone Rose is one of mother nature's beautiful work of art. It can be seen on a cliff face shaped like the petals of a rose on the road up to Teide National Park.
